Match Report
Four Marks are Five Alive!!
This weekends game saw a "new look"
Four Marks side take on a ever strong Upham FC.
The Opening ten minutes both teams started by trying to work each other out with neither side taking the game to the other.
After 15 mintues had gone, some good work at the back found Chris Peach who played a hopefull ball over the top causing the keeper problems and Warwick capitilised to make it 1-0 to the Rascals.
Two minutes later, Four Marks conceded a corner after a lapse in concentration at the back.
Upham's Centre back rising above the pack to nod in from close range.
Four Marks regained control soon after by applying some good one and two touch football.
Uphams overwhelmed defence soon succumbed to the pressure and Smoochy Peters turned like a boat to slot home from the edge of the area! Marks going in 2-1 at the half way point.
Upham came out hungry to find an equaliser and take the game to the home side and there persistance in the first 5 minutes of the second half paid off, after a poor ball at the back saw the Upham attack pounce on the ball and place a well struck shot off the cross-bar and in, giving the on form Brock no chance in goal.
Soon after Upham equalised, player manager,James Chuter broke free from the back, knocking the ball round an over committed defence, running half the length of the pitch, Chuter squared the ball across to Warwick who had time to take a stumble and place the ball into the the far corner of the goal.
Four Marks Second half dominance continued through the second half and even after young debutant Tom Cox was taken out late into the second half, The Four Marks men continued to add pressure to an obviously struggling Upham side.
Four Marks 4th goal came through the constant and hard working Warwick who battled and managed to thread a through ball into the path of Shanley who calmy slotted ome, for his third goal in as many games.
After the Fourth, the persistent Four Marks squandered several chances through Ollie Chuter and Peach amongst others.
The final goal came from the games man of the match in Chris Peach, which can only be described as a Giggsy-esc run, Peach dropped his shoulder and came inside the box, weaving in and out of three defenders before rifling home and celebrating in style with his Marks team mates.
